I painted this Orc Big Un unit quite a while ago. It’s one of my favourite units from my horde. It’s just the standard boyz kit but I added all the spare shoulder pads I could, plus lots of little skull trophies to the models to help distiguish them from standard boyz. I also painted the skin a darker green to my standard boyz to further distiguish them. Finally, I pain-stakingly made plasticard shields for the whole 25 strong mob. I’ll detail how I made the shields in a future post. Read on for more pics.

Great looking units alround, but I really love the banners
Yellow isn't really a natural choice for fantasy. I've painted mine way too bright really, but I love yellow (my friends who have seen my new motorbike pics on facebook will tell you i'm obsessed). I painted all the clothes different shades of muted browns, this helps bringing back to the darker medieval theme a little.
I play Orcs and Goblins as well. I am very impressed with your yellow. I do Bad Moonz for 40k. I haven't decided on a color just yet for my fantasy Orcs.
Looking really good. Look forward to seeing the post on the shields.
Very nice mate.. love the yellows, and looking forward to seeing the tut on the shields.
