Thanks, guys. I'm adding flora the moment as I type this (well, I'm waiting for stuff to dry actually). I'm adding pumpkin plants (for the definate halloween feel), ivy and maybe some dry grass too.
Thanks for your earlier comment on this piece by the way, Kenzaburo. The problem with going all-out with the painting is always that I don't really have the time but I'll try to make this one look good, especially as someone else I know from Warseer said he'd join the very same competition and his stuff (especially dioramas) looks very nice.

I like the purple and green key colours here. They work together really well, especially in a horror/halloween scene. Brilliant work.
nice one. especially the glowing effect on the ground, showing that there's necromancy about to happen. 🙂 i guess it is still WIP, though? go for some foliage on the base, it looks too sparse right now. some falen leaves and dried grass should do the trick.
and can we get some more close ups of the grimoire? please? 🙂
