Back to work on the Dwarfs now that pesky-pointy-ear Anlith Anar is done. The next step was going to be a fresh layer of Leadbelcher on the whole unit but I was scrapping the sides of the paint pot for just the first five and wouldn’t have had enough to do a second file. So I used my time to play with the gold trimming.
First I painted two models, one with bright gold and the other with Runesmith Brass for a nice muted look. While I really liked how the Runesmith Brass looked I felt like a Dwarven kings body guard would have the best and brightest so I went for the bright yellow golds. The file on the left (with the brown beards) represents how the trim will be picked out … I am really liking them 🙂

All that beards are fantastic
Good Lord, those are looking fantastic
Lookins good so far. Dwarves are the best Fantasy army for pulling off that ranked up look – a solid block of Dwarves looks brilliant.
Did you take a picture of the brass colour scheme? Would like to see a comparison.
