Hey there guys, I know it’s getting embarassing, but I still haven’t finished this batch of Skavenslaves… Last week was madness at work, absolutely no hobby time, and this weekend I had a lot of other stuff going on, but at least I’ve finished the skin. So how do you think these pesky rats are shaping up?
Btw, I’m so looking forward to the Christmas holidays to get a good amount of painting done, I might even start painting the Hellpit Abomination I assembled some time ago. How about that?

Sure, Saitou! Would love to see what you're up to!
Thanks i think i'm slowly getting there =] when i've finished them do you think i could upload a pic and get u to take a look at it to see if u can give me some more pointers?
Hi, I just used very little water, like 4 parts wash and 1 part water. Make sure you don't let the wash pool on the flat areas, use a damp brush to take away any excess wash.
For highlighting, use a suitable small brush that holds its tip well and apply the lighter colour to the areas that stand out and are likely to catch the light. Look at the pictures in my tutorial and the showcase of my Stormvermin to get a feel where to apply your highlights. Cheers!
Hi Stahly, just a quick question. I'm currently painting up my stormvermin using you're clanrat tutorial as a guide, when i try to wash with "slightly thinned badab black" i just thinned it with water and it came out kinda splotchy, do i need to use a glaze medium or something? also if you could give me some tips on how to highlight that would be great i really want my stormvermin to stand out compared to the rest of my army which is mainly just basecoat + wash
Looking great 🙂
