My heart wasn’t in this. I didn’t want to paint this model because it does nothing for me. It doesn’t excite me in the slightest. I’m going to nickname it the shortcut sailboat. I rushed it to finish it because I just couldn’t be bothered. It’s done though, so I can tick it off the ‘to do list’.

Always something to be said for powering through to finish a model. At least your lack of interest didn't prevent you from applying a top-notch paint job.
Yup, excellent work there. Really a joy to see and definately adding to my nagging feeling of having my own set still completely unpainted. :S
How did you do the gold? It looks really good.
Gold is GW Hashut Copper, Agrax EarthShade wash and then highlighted with Auric Armour Gold. Simple really. I couldn't be bothered to put any effort in.
Looks really smooth finish. Cheers
Ha!Ha! Quality blog post. Made my morning. Basically, "Couldn't be bothered doing it but had to do it so I did!" We all have days like these (some of us more than most 😉 )
Great post! I wish I could be as honest as you! I also wish I could paint as well as you, too! You might not have enjoyed painting it, but it still looks lovely to my eyes.
Really is refreshing to see someone who is honest and doesn't feel they need to put a positive spin on everything just for the sake of keeping up appearances.
Well done!
definately should grab a game of this. its fun! surprisingly fun!
