You’ve seen this guy before in my table of shame picture: The really pretty Mk.IV Dreadnought showcasing his shooty arnament (there’s more to come though!). I’d say that he’s about 80% finished so not long until I can turn him in with a showcase post.
Nothing much else exciting at this point I’m afraid so all that’s left really is that I’m very interested in your opinions on the work so far or general comments. 🙂

@Andy: Cheers. I usually prefer making my own bases as well (lost count on how often I painted this Dreadnought base already 😉 ) but the base does the job rather well.
@Garfy: Thanks, mate. Close combat weapons are to come with the next update on this guy. 😉
The painting is superb, but the weapon load out is questionable. Where's the close combat weapons?
One of my fav Dreadnought models and what a lovely paintjob! Only thing I dont like is that base because its a default one, personal preference thats all 🙂
Thanks for the comment, Andy. It's really simple: Basecoat, drybrush, drybrush, ink deeper recesses, drybrush again. The ready-made Dreadnought bases they do since 2004 or something are a bei deceiving, aren't they. 😉 You think you got a finished base there which you only need to drybrush but in fact you gotta put in extra work as opposed as to plain bases. Especially if you do them in a sand scheme you have to be careful to work out the height differences. Uusally I don't wash desert bases but in this case it was required.
How did you paint the base? It looks really good, exactly the sort of thing I'm after.
