Hey all, today is just a quick update on some Word Bearer Marines that I am currently working on.
I downed the colour on the red to make it more a crimson, but still feel I will darken the colour more with a final oil wash. I still need to block areas in before I can start adding more detail and weathering the models. I still have quite a lot to do, but I am quite enjoying working on them. What do think so far? Any suggestions?

In my view you're heading the right path with darkening them down a bit but then I'm known for preferring Everything dark and gloomy 🙂 Orthodox people living life by the letter will probably point out that word bearers usually have a more violet tone (at least I think it's violet, the colour chart in my brain is not really all that up to date) but I like the red you have achieved here and variety is always welcome so I wouldn't be too bothered about those 🙂
If you're planning on painting word bearers en masse I can recommend the FW airbrush Paints gal vorbak red and word bearers red, really nice colours!
