The recently released Chaos Warshrine. What can I say. I love the model, but painting it was such a long painful task. But I think the end results are worth it. But I would not be in any rush to paint this again anytime soon. But hey I’m glad I tackled this model. Anyone else out and about have a go at painting it. What did you think? Did you like the model?

Great work, love the flames, the dude at the front and the brass work.
Still hate the trolls carrying it though (the models, not the paintjob!)
It is definitely a love/hate model. Everyone loves to hate it 🙂 Great paint job on it, but cannot see myself picking it up or painting it..
no painting in the world will ever make this piece of sh…t look good…. it's just wasting a good paint job on a big piece of crap
Come on Gewalatron, out with it man, tell us what you think!
Great job, by the way.
I think this is a nice model, but GW's design technology is getting ahead of painters. They're getting so detailed and much more 3-dimensional, that it's harder on the painters of just wonderful works. Models like this take tons of time to paint, and on to of that you also have to paint an entire army to accompany it.
Thirdeye, what was it about this model that took so long do you think – was it the flames?
Hey thanks all 🙂
The model has a lot of detail. More than most of the usual GW stuff. It was very fiddly. And you had to paint it in separate parts before gluing otherwise it would be a bit of a nightmare. It wasn't fun.
ugh. I have one primed (i kept the howdah thing off the backs of the mutants for now). Now I'm not very keen to do it lol.
I'd say go for it 🙂 I'm only being a bit negative as I have had to paint 3 of them now as commissions. It does get a little bit to much at that point.
Ah, ok I will do so 🙂
