As you can see, I started work on the next unit of my Dark Eldar Megaforce – the Venom. A nifty little vehicle. I already finished the lower hull and the splinter cannons. Next up is the upper hull and the gunner. Just as with my Raider, I airbrushed the hull to acchieve a subtle lilac gradient. This venom is for my Trueborn Kabalites, so I chose the railing that matches the one of the Raider, and the gunner is going to look slightly more noble than the warriors of my regular Kabalite squad I painted a while ago. Stay tuned!

Looks great!
How did you achieve the really nice edge higlights?
I never manage to get such straight lines.
Is there a special technique?
Sadly not. It's patience, a high quality brush with a sharp tip, paint with the right consistency so that it flows easily from your brush, and of course sometimes it takes several attempts to get it right.
I've never been a fan of painted canopies. It's a great option for time saving but I like to see the pilot and all the painted detail.
It's a wonderful model. I never got one for my Dark Eldar force. I have 5 incubi, one of these would have been great for them.
Looking forward to seeing more. You might edge ahead of me this month because I'm away next week and I don't think I'll finish my spyder before I go.
