Feeble humans, behold what happens to your mortal flesh when I release the scarabs from my Canoptek Artefact. Flayed alive, stripped to the bone.
I used parts from Deathmarks and Lychguard combined to make this Cryptek. I also used the 40 scarabs I had spare from the Tesseract Vault model to make the “swarm”. I used a paper clip that I curled around a plastic skeleton and then superglued and green stuffed scarabs to the paper clip. The Canoptek Artefact is actually from the Dark Eldar Ravager kit.
Now if you were wondering where my Doomsday Ark is, it’s ok, don’t panic. I have finished it and it’s scheduled for later this week. These WIP posts are better suited for when we do two posts a day. Make sure you keep checking back regularly to see the finished Doomsday Ark and Cryptek real soon.

As someone who is completely oblivious when it comes to the Necrons – what am I seeing here? Are those scarabs coming out of that egg-thingy and why's there a skeleton in the air?
Absolutely not meant as criticism, I'm just looking at a really cool model and wondering what's going on! 🙂
It's all invented. To my knowledge there is no official weapon based on what I created. I think it's open to interpretation (like all art should be), but this is my take on it.
The Canoptek Artefact is a unique piece of techno-sorcerory. It has the ability to create microscopic nano-scarabs which can be summoned as a swarm. This deadly flying cloud of chittering drones has the feeding power to flense the flesh from a victims bones. So powerful is this tornado of rending activity it can lift the helpless soul clean off the ground and give the impression they are being levitated.
Template Str5 Ap2 Entropic, Instant Death, Use once.
Love it. The painted model should look fantastic. Will look wicked on the battlefield

What did you use to extend the collar up over the head?
I cut that part from the Deathmark torso piece. It's a reasonably good fit.
This is so sick I can't even believe it. Reminds me of an evil robot version of that Ogre dude. Love it love it love it. This is the kind of insanity I was hoping the Chaos Marine revamp was going to include.

The staff is actually a really good counter weight so no coin needed.
