Not much left to do on the hungry Haruspex. Just the carapace highlights, my trademark yellow spotting and a final orange highlight to the red. I thought I’d use this post to ask you guys a question. Do you have a comfort zone? Do you only paint marines because you find other races difficult to paint? Do you only paint infantry sized models because big kits scare you? I don’t think I have a comfort zone, I can paint big kits like the Haruspex without really thinking about it, but I think my bright, area blended painting style is my comfort zone. I don’t think I could paint in Third Eye Nuke’s style. I do try to learn new things when I start a new army, for instance my Necrons were all about learning OSL and extreme edge highlights and my Black Legion was about learning gore effects. So I do push the boundaries.
