This week I finally got around to painting the Taurox models I got last week (Photos below). I Did them in Astra Militarum colour schemes: camo and grey. It’s simply a joy painting Imperial Guard models, especially vehicles. I like the 2WW colours and you can use a lot of weathering, which are very effective. I think they turned our pretty cool. On to painting the new Hydra / Wyvern! What do you guys think? What colour scheme do you use for your Astra Militarum army?

Would you please share which paints were used for these models (primarily Games Workshop paints if possible)? I understand that there has been lots of weathering involved, but I would love to try my hand at it. Thank you!
Hi, let me give it a look over and I'll get back to you. As I remember I painted them mainly with Vallejo paints. But I'll try and sort something out over the next few days.

Theses are amazing paint jobs, first time I've seen the unconverted model and thought, wow that looks good!
Any idea when your Tempestus Scion troops will be painted? I'm really looking forward to seeing the paint schemes you come up with.

Oh my God, I just realized that would make them "the hogs of war". ~whew~ Thought I was losing my touch with the puns there 😉
This is the first time I have actually thought the new truck looks good. Seriously, cartoony paint jobs are not doing this model justice. Good to see these paint jobs (not cartoony) are making the model look a good deal more serious.
Another great vid. Its a lovely change to seeing models handled by fat bloke hands instead of nicely manicured lady fingers 🙂 The colour schemes chosen certainly make the model more appealing than the GW showcases

Stunning work, I love the gritty paint scheme. I've got 3 on the way which will all be in desert camo for my guard.
I think a lot of the dislike of the Taurox comes from GWs choice of colour scheme for their new guard models.
Looking forward to seeing how the wyvern turns out!
