Hey all, I originally bought 2 boxes of the Wild Riders a few weeks ago on the release day. The plan was to have them up and painted on Tales of Painters the same time as I had the Treeman, but I got completely sidetracked with work and they kind of fell into my box of things to do. Happily I can say that I finally got to painting them last week and I like them. I’m really digging the new Wood Elves. They are a fresh break from the normal things I paint. What do you think? Do you like the Wood Elves from last months release?

Very nice! Have you considered making a tutorial for bases and your process?
Yeah, I love 'em. Excellent work!
so sweet
Nice paintjob! Good work on the bases.
Very nice work. My only complaints with those models are the horns – they look weird with how they stick out at the front before sweeping up. I converted mine to eliminate that. Your paintwork is awesome, but I can tell you don't play Wood Elves: no-one would ever put full command in that unit, and Wild Riders always need shields!
Thanks mate, but honest I'm not that familiar with the Wood Elves codex. It was more what might look look. I still have 3 of the girls from that set. What would you recommend in build?
3 Sisters can be built however you choose, because there are good reasons to take command in that unit. Pick whichever you like the look of best 🙂
It looks like cork and slate with tufts, static grass, and flocking.
Excellent work!
The bases are really well done, colorful. and the stag riders looks sweet. realistic.
Hey cheers Tim, I was reading the other day a post I think you did on the flying circus Daemons under Kirby. Good read.
Excellent – would love to know how you do your bases, very effective.
Like someone said below, its cork, slate, sand, flock, tufts and mini flowers.
