As you can see, I made some good progress on my Wave Serpent over the weekend. I painted the serpent shield generators, the canopy and the vectored engines. I also added some of my custom made runic pattern decals to the hull. Left do do are the underslung Shuriken Cannon and the turret Scatter Lasers, as well as applying a coat of varnish for an even matte surface. I really like the look so far, what do you think? Next post should be a showcase of the finished model by the way 😉

awesome, thank you! I fear it may be a little too humid where i am for that. Keep up the great painting!
I use a spray canned matte varnish, a store brand of German DIY store Toom Baumarkt. It's perfect, I'm using it for years.
What do you use for varnish? how do you apply it? I have never varnished my models before, looking for tips 🙂 Thanks in advance!
