Hey guys, super excited to be working on a Blood Angel army for a friend. It’s something I have been waiting to do since I was first proposed the idea.
Things are still very basic at the moment as I’m in the stages of painting in details bit by bit. It’s a lot of work as on top of the 10 Terminators you see I also have 30 Tactical marines, 2 Drop pods, 2 Stormravens and a Dreadnought. As all these units are red themed I’m working on them in a almost factory like cycle. So far it’s working out to be very productive and I’m enjoying the results. How do you guy’s work whilst painting armies? Do you have a routine or do you paint model by model individually?

Is that Army Painter Pure Red base coat, Citadel Mephiston Red, or another color? Its very vibrant. I like it.
I used to paint individually, but not i have adapted to a more batch like process. For instance my Eldar has the most painted models in my entire collection (Because I usually get so damn distracted) What I did is 10 guardians at a time painted all the under armor, then the top armor, then the guns and bits. Only the base coats. then moved on to weapons plat forms then my vyper and lastly my war walkers. Now all i have left is base coat my warlocks and far seers (Definitely getting more attention) From there I can go back and highlight as I wish, no rush because they still look more finished than probably 60% of the players out there =P
I'm in a learning phase (always) but i've done a 10 man Dark Angels via "factory cycle" and i have saved a lot of time. I found myself doing that way less dispersive.
Looks very nice. Look forward to seeing how it turns out.
Looks promising 🙂
Love the red color I must say <3
Personally I work model by model or just a couple at most, I tend to get tired of painting if I do like you :>
