Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
Useful stuff! Thanks for putting these videos together; they really help dispel some of the mystery behind some great techniques.
Off topic, but the freehand on that Rhino looks great!
A good video to show why GW paint pot design is just silly..;). Seriously thanks, useful video.
As another suggestion for splattering blood. If you use a hard dry or stipple brush, dip it into paint, wipe off any excess, then you can then use your finger to flick it off (by drawing your finger backwards over the bristles). It gives a nice splatter effect and with some practice can give a directional splattering effect too by aiming the spray – but be warned it is a messy method! It can be used for star fields too on the bases of BFG etc ships.
Great watch. Makes me almost want to start doing vid tutorials. But I dont know if I have the balls to do it myself or if anyone would be interested. Good stuff.
I know how you feel. I'm totally out of my comfort zone with these but it should be good for my confidence and they can only get better. Views are reasonable for a starting point. Subscribers is good, had lots of people subscribing. I'm going to keep going with it and see where it takes. I want to vary it up and add reviews and stuff.
Great tutorial Garfy, I'll be sure to try this out on the Orks I plan on painting in the next couple of weeks.
Are you planning on doing a tutorial on the glazing method you use (Paint & Lahmian Medium) in a lot of your tutorials?
I am. Just waiting for the right model to come along. Something with a power weapon I'm thinking showing how I blend along the blade.
Awesome, I look forward to it dude.
This is great information, but how do you feel about GW's Blood for the Bloodgod? Does it do as good a job as the Tamiya Clear Red?
Did you watch to the end of the video? I talk about it at the end.
Oops! That's the hazard of watching while at work, I missed the end. Sorry! Now, where to get my hands on that stuff locally!
🙂 Thanks for watching.
The problem with your videos is they are boring and the sound is awful. Can we please please have back the old videos with the girl.I cannot remember her name ( I think she was Russian) but she was very pleaseant and was interesting. I miss those a lot as they taught me a ton of painting skills.
Anonymous hasn't even got the right Youtube channel. How embarrassing.
I'm Garfy, part of PYGs and Tale of Painters. For Ksusha you'll want ThirdEyeNuke Studios you creepy, stalky sonofabitch.
Just read that. Video's take a lot of bravery to do and it's tough to start on.I think what you wrote on boring is rude. Yes, Ksusha will do more vids somepoint this summer. But she is tied down with a very demanding job at the moment.
