I recently announced the cancellation of my subscription to Conquest, that has left me with some odd sized units. I’m a devoted son of the Lion and that just won’t do for such loyal and noble warriors. One week later and I have four more warriors, completing two of my units to the full complement of ten models each. After the jump a quick note on how I’m going to be organising my hobby from now on.

I recently posted Nurgle Blood Bowl Team, Night Haunt Evocators and now Dark Angels! My hobby is all over the place and I’m about to start painting the Warcry set! So here’s what I’m going to do, at the beginning of every month, I’m going to choose three factions. I’ll choose a number of models for each faction and allocate them a week for that month. The number of models chosen will be how many I believe I can paint in that week. For example, let say it’s the 1st of the month, and I decide to paint Untamed Beasts from Warcry, Nurgle’s Rotters from Blood Bowl and Deathguard from 40k. I would then break it down like so.

Week 1 – Batch paint of 5 Untamed Beast models.

Week 2 – Death Guard 1 Plague Drone

Week 3 – Batch paint of 2 Bloaters and a Pestigor.

Week 4 to the end of the month – Paint what ever I want or pick and finish what didn’t get done in previous weeks.

Essentially this rhythm is exactly what I did for a year with Conquest. the first three weeks were the conquest models and the remainder of the month was other projects. Looking forward to this approach.
