This is the finished Spiritseer for my Eldar army. I’m quite happy how he turned out. I really like the paint scheme of my Saim-Hann Eldar, the red and purples in combination with the turquoise really pop. Actually quite similar to Garfy’s Nids which I adore, isn’t it? Now the model needs a coat of varnish and then I’ll take some proper shots in my light box. How do you like the model? Drop me some comments!
Stahly
Stahly hails from Craftworld Germany and has been involved with Warhammer since childhood. He has painted several armies and countless warbands and Kill Teams over the decades, and founded Tale of Painters in 2011. When he's not painting miniatures incredibly slowly, he's testing the latest paints, tools and kits with German precision and a no non-sense attitude.
It's awesome work! Cool painted and unofficial model. Especially like singing spear with its psychic lightings.
Cheers guys!
My method for painting witchblades is based off an 'Eavy Metal Masterclass featuring a Space Wolves champion. I basecoated the blade with Formula P3 Coal Black, then I watered down VGC Falcon Turquoise to a very watery consistency an applied it to the blade. I let the paint pool here and there to create an irregular, cloudy pattern once this coat was dry. Based on this pattern I started to paint lightning shaped streaks with Falcon Turquoise, that I highlighted and refined with P3 Arcane Blue, a mix of Arcane Blue and VGC Wolf Grey and finally pure Wolf Grey.
Lovely work Stahly. Solid job.
Nice blade work, really "sharp" – okay I'm done. Seriously great effect was it glazes or strictly blending to achieve that?
Great looking Model as a spiritseer it will fit a lot better with the Wraithguard models due to its slightly bigger size. Very good execution of the painting style and lovely witchblade style, have you ever done a tutorial on that method? If not I would greatly appreciate one
