Painting this Lieutenant was a fantastic break to painting my Slaves to Darkness. It was as good change of pace and half way through painting him I had the idea to take the about picture. I modelled and 3D printed some bookcases (he is a Tomekeeper after all) I used a flash behind the scene to shine through, that light is captured in camera. I took three pictures on a tripod and merged them together in photoshop to make the photo. Couple more pics after the jump.
I now have a total of six Lieutenants. Does anyone have more than that?
Back to painting Slaves to Darkness now, but after seeing all the new Warhammer 40,000 reveals at the weekend I can’t wait to paint more Necrons and Primaris Marines.

looks great, any chance of a tutorial, or at least paint used on the armor?
Sorry, I was only ver going to paint this one and I never jotted down the recipe. Check to my Deathwing tutorial on here. I think I started with that but used Snakebite Contrast to line the panel gaps.
Simply amazing! I definitely want to look into more thematic/framed photos going forward 🙂
