Working on Brother Toriad from the Space Marine Heroes range, the final model to complete the Space Marine Adventures boxed game. Actually I wanted to complete this model in 2019, but I couldn’t make it. Sad story.
Painting Yellow is always challenging, and I salute to any Imperial Fist player who manages to paint his or her collection to a high standard. Nowadays I’d probably try painting Iyanden Yellow Contrast over Wraithbone primer, and then tidy it up, but it wouldn’t match the style of my other models from the set, so I used the classic method of basecoating, shading and highlighting. However, I used the Sun Yellow hobby paint spray from Vallejo for basecoating, which has a nice quality, though it requires an undercoat of a light primer like Wraithbone or Corax White to cover dark grey plastic.
