Keep your fiends close, but your enemies closer.

Today is the live unboxing of Dominion by GW over on their Twitch channel. My hobby always gets a little unsettled when a boxed game drops. I feel this pressure to quickly get my unfinished projects done. In recent weeks I’ve paint an Endless Spell for my Slaves to Darkness to hit 2000pts, the Infernal Enrapturess, Karanak and now these three Fiends of Slaanesh.

Trying to think of a pun, but they’re all just clawful.

The reason I decided to paint these three Fiends instead of continuing with Cursed City is a simple one. They’re the last three models I needed to paint to complete the Wrath & Rapture boxed set I got a couple of years ago. The feeling of finishing a boxed game is triumphant, only to be extinguished by the feeling of defeat looking at the unfinished Cursed City with Age of Sigmar 3 about to wade into the ring to kick my arse as well.

My completed Wrath & Rapture set

With so much cool amazing hobby being released so frequently it’s pretty hard to keep up. I need to remember I’m doing ok and look at the successes. In the past 18 months I have finished painting Warcry, Beastgrave, Indomitus, Warcry Catacombs, Pariah Nexus and Wrath and Rapture boxed games. As well as a Slaves to Darkness 2000pt army.

My Hedonites of Slaanesh force waiting for the Keeper of Secrets to be painted.

I think I need to go back to my rotating 4 different factions a month/1 unit a week schedule. the 4 projects being Stormcast, AOS3 enemy force, Cursed City and my Chaos Daemons. Feeling pretty overwhelmed with he hobby at the moment. I might need some quick and easy projects over the next week just to get that easy win feeling.
