- Part 1 covers the new Lord-Celestant, the multipart Reclusians, Stormstrike Palladors, and Iridan the Witness / Lord-Vigilant on Morrgryph.
- Part 2 will follow in a couple of days, it features Tornus the Redeemed / Knight-Azyros, the new Lord-Relictor, the Lord-Terminos, and the Stormreach Portal.
- Also check out our review of Skaventide, which covers the new Liberators, Prosecutors and more (click here).
The new Lord-Celestant unboxed
This new Lord-Celestant is the first female model of her kind. The small box contains a small sprue and a 40mm base. While the Lord-Celestant’s pose is fixed, there are several weapon and head options. Two bare heads and one helmeted head, a hammer or a closed fist for the right arm, and a sword, hammer, two-handed hammer, or shield for the left arm.

Multi-part Stormcast Eternals Reclusians review
The Reclusians are a new multi-part version of the miniatures first seen in the Skaventide boxed set. The box has three small sprues and comes with three Reclusians (40mm bases) and two Memorians (25mm bases).
- Reclusian 1 is the Reclusian Prime, he can either have two axes, one axe and a shield, or a double-handed mace.
- Reclusian 2 can either have an axe and shield or a double-handed mace.
- Reclusian 3 can either have an axe and shield or a double-handed mace as well.
- There are two bare heads with male features and one with female features, matching the body types of the models, plus three helmeted heads, all interchangeable.
- There are six interchangeable shoulder guards.
- Both Memorians are monopose models without alternate assembly options.
A look at the Stormstrike Palladors
The new Stormstrike Palladors are more heavily armoured cavalry units of the Warrior Chamber compared to the older Vanguard Palladors. Unfortunately, the poses of the mounts are not quite as dynamic, which is likely due to the newly added heavier barding. The box contains three medium-sized sprues for three Palladors on 90mm oval bases.
- Pallador 1 can be built as a Champion or a regular warrior. For the Champion, there’s a special right sword arm and an ornate helmet. The regular warrior has the choice between a sword or a lance.
- Pallador 2 can be built as a Standard Bearer, who receives a right arm with a banner, or as a regular warrior. The warrior can choose between a sword or a lance.
- Pallador 3 can be built as a Musician, who receives a right arm with a trumpet, or as a regular warrior. The warrior can choose between a sword and a lance.
- In addition to the helmet for the Champion, there are two interchangeable helmets with male features, one with female features, two male bare heads, and one female bare head. Additionally, the shoulder guards are partially interchangeable.

Iridan the Witness / Lord-Vigilant on Morrgryph unboxing
Iridan the Witness is the centrepiece model of this wave of Stormcast Eternals releases and can alternatively be built as a Lord-Celestant on Morrgryph. The box contains three medium-sized sprues and a 120mm oval base. Iridan himself has no alternate builds, but the (female) Lord-Celestant includes both a bare head and a helmeted head. Aside from the two different riders, there are two different head options for the Morrgryph.

Pros
- First female Lord-Celestant
- New weapon option for Reclusians
- Palladors are nice updates
Cons
- Reclusians are quite expensive for just 3 models and 2 small lackeys
Final Verdict
The designs of the new Stormcast Eternals are both characterful and spectacular. They continue what began with the introduction of Thunderstrike armour in the Dominion box and was taken to the next level with Skaventide: arguably the best Stormcast models ever sculpted. The Reclusiarchs particularly stand out for me, adding the necessary grimdarkness to Sigmar's chosen, but the Lord-Celestant and Palladors are also fantastic. I'm not so keen on the pose of the Morrgryph's wings on Iridan, but that's perhaps just personal preference.
