Tutorial: 2 (+2) quick and easy ways to paint Ork/Orruk flesh
In this post I’ll teach you two quick and straight-forward techniques for painting Ork (or Orruk) flesh: One is based on the new Orruk Flesh base paint, while the other uses a combination of Contrast and traditional painting to create a great result without spending hours on blending or shading. I’ll also add links to two more Ork tutorials for even more ideas to paint your new Beast Snaggaz, Kommandos, or Kruleboyz.
Showcase: Watch Captain Halgrim from Cursed City
Since I’ve painted a few Grave Guard a while ago, I thought it would be nice to paint someone to lead them into battle. Watch Captain Halgrim has such a strong and powerful pose, I’m happy I bought him from ebay before Cursed City disappeared forever in the immaterium. More pictures of my version of Halgrim in this post.

Showcase: Soulblight Gravelords Grave Guard with Great Wight Blades
It’s Soulblight week part two on Tale of Painters and today I’ll share a glimpse at my spin on the venerable Grave Guard kit. I’ve painted five skeletal warriors hailing from Neferata’s Legion of Blood, with a few subtle conversions and eye-catching Great Wight Blades burning from balefire.
Showcase: Soulblight Gravelords Skeleton Warriors
Soulblight Gravelords is my dream army. I have epic dreams of legions of skeleton warriors dying only to rise up again and continue the march. There is a special place in my heart for these minis being that they are the first set I every painted. So I thought I would share those early experiments here and talk about how it really helped me grow as a painter. So here is my contribution to Soulblight week some deadly and dead Skeleton Warriors painted in December of 2019.
