This is the first in my series of WFB posts in this first week of January 2012. Another commission, I love it when I get new and interesting things to paint. It’s always challenging at first, but I soon relish the challenge with a brush in hand.
Wulfrik was a good model to paint. It gave an opportunity to try loads of different things on one model, which you just don’t get on marines or other characters. I went for a rotten/greenish palour for Wulfriks face and a live/recent skin effect for his shield – a reverse of what I’d seen on other peoples offerings.

That flayed skin looks so realistic. Creepy.
I've never really seen trophy skulls painted so dark either, very different but suits this piece.
I love this model and I think you made it look really good. Well Done.
