I’ve been working on the fleshy parts of the spider. I wanted a yellow-like maggot flesh. You can see the colours I used in the background (Heavy Ochre, Dwarf Flesh, Baal red wash, plague brown). I think I’m going to go lighter with the colour by progressively mixing more bone white into the plague brown.

Looking very nice! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Have to say, the spider is my favorite of the new breed of 'really big warhammer models' and has tempted me to make a goblin army.
This looks really great. The color modulation on the shell is top notch. Also, the contrast between the shell and skin underneath is strong without being jarring. Nice job of keeping the two pallets in a complimentary range and using different techniques to bring out the contrast in textures.
What do you think your game colour paints with Garfy? Do they need much thinning?
