Today I fanned the muck up and revisited a project that has been sat on my desk for months now. I undercoated and basecoated my Thunderhawk gunship. I feel it’s a bit of a milestone getting the blue paint on the old bird and I just hope the momentum will carry me through and I can get more of it complete.

I used Vallejo Ultramarine blue. It's in their Game Colour range mate.
Keep at it and you'll get there. This will look amazing when its done. Out of interest what Blue have you used for the basecoat?
Ugh, that's a big kit with a lot of detail. I can understand your reluctance. I love pouring effort into my painting but because of the level I hold every model too the bigger projects seem somehow bigger. Still it;ll be a beautiful centerpiece when your are done in a few years…
It's Forgeworld.
Is that a FW one or a self made kit? Just curious 🙂
Good luck.. I have a shadowsword super heavy sitting around with primer on it for years.. need to get back to it at some time also!
Looking forward to seeing this project continue..
