Theodore Bruckner is one of those models that I have for years always wanted to paint but never really got round to doing. Finally I decided that over the Christmas holidays whilst my wife was away visiting her parents and all was quiet I would give him a go. First of all the model of Theodore himself is considerably larger than a normal figure of a standard Empire troop. The Forge World Throne of Chaos book stated him as a giant. And the model of him certainly is. I would say he is more the size of a Chaos Lord. I liked the model a lot and it was a fun one to work on. I tried to stick to a similar style in that of the illustrations of him in Throne of Chaos. And opted to use a very minimal color palette. What do you all think? Have any of you used him in a game?

I really like that model, and was eyeing it up for my Empire army.
How much bigger is he compared to a normal Empire soldier? Have you got a comparison pic?

Hey Courtney, I dont have any comparison photos at hand. But I would say Theodore on foot is about the same size as a Chaos Lord. In human height he would be pushing close to 7ft. Hope that helps.
Awesome work on the paint job man! I love muted, more realistic work with these kind of minis, makes them really come to life.
That Mourngal is amazing!
DO you varnish at all before adding the gloss parts?
