Please excuse the poor quality iPhone picture. All my photography gear was bagged up for a film and photoshoot on Saturday. I’ve been trying to find the time to paint this Tesseract Vault all week. As you can see it doesn’t look like I’ve done much but honestly I’ve spent an extraordinary amount of time painting thick and thin lines by hand with no airbrush used. It’s going to be a long slow project, so please give me all the encouragement you can in the comments. If you have any ideas or tips on working on huge projects, please share.

Hey man! You are so great at painting. I like your necrons so much, so I've decided to paint mine like you did. Will you paint Canoptek Wraiths? I love this unit, so I want to see how you will paint them.
I like it. It's not my favourite moiled but there's no doubt it will look great.
I realise you are very WIP still but will you be doing OSL on the base. It would seem odd if he casts no reflections.
Loving the Necron gang in the background 🙂 Just noticed that 🙂
Looks great 🙂 I'll give you a hats off for just not using a airbrush. Personally I'd be lost without it if I had to go totally freehand. But the work looks awesome Iphone or not. Good stuff
I think it kicks ass!
The red and blue contrast along with the different painting techniques are really making it pop. Definitely making the most of the model and its large areas. Cant wait to see what you do with the rest of the model.
Great looking paint job!
How did you do the large metallic parts?
They look almost non metallic…definitely cool!
looks like dr Manhattan 🙂
garfy, i like that you don't use an airbrush for it. As I've recently begun painting my Tau, I know how time consuming edge highlighting can get. Keep up the great work, because I'm pretty sure the final result will be worth all the time and word. 😉
Wonderfull job, i hurry to see it end.
The simple answer is always the best – take your time and enjoy it, and do a little bit at a time – you'll be done in no time.
Uh! Just. Wow!
