So remember these chaps? After I finished the Wyches I thought the unveiling of the new Space Marines would be the perfect excusion to take a break from my Dark Eldar and finish the remaining two Ultramarine bikers. So far I worked on the bikes, I’m not so happy with the blue highlights yet, which means I need to do some refining later. No, I’m not fishing for compliments, for some reason my highlighting skills were a bit sloppy this time. What do you think?
And will you pick up some of the new Marines or have the prices put you off?

I'll eventually buy at least one of every box. For us in Canada the guys are 50$ for the Veterans, so 10$ each. While the tactical is also 50$. It's steep as hell for plastic toys, but it is my hobby and I could be spending similar amounts on video games which I've begun to ignore completely for the repetitive play styles and stories or Gundam action figures which after importing are near the 70$ mark for one toy which would just sit on a shelf.
80$ on the tank seems steep until I realised that you can make both variants and just swap the top when needed. And it's pretty big next to a predator.
Apart from Centurions – whose design I loathe – all the models are nice. But the prices are too hard to swallow for me – their main line has become as expensive or in case of the Librarian and Captain more expensive than their "premium" brand Forgeworld. Sternguard are great and tempting for the bits, but they are more expensive than Terminators who are on 40 mm bases. Seriously? Maybe I get a couple of single bits from a bitz site or look for an opened box on ebay, otherwise, this release gets a pass from me. Won't even get the codex, sadly. I gave in to Eldar, this time I vote with my wallet.
You're level of sloppy is better then my best! I think they look great.
I want to get some of the new marines. Maybe the Centurions which I think look cool (am I the only one?). I might buy the librarian too.
