Hey all, today I’m showing the fairly still new Skaven Verminking that I finished about a week ago. The model is in the same line as Nagash and Nagash’s riders with the swirling tail piece around the body.
GW seems to be on a trend for doing this. I don’t mind it, but it makes painting and assembly all the more tricky as you have to paint the sections separately and then attach them. I think it also makes the models all the more fragile. But apart from that the design of this model is very nice and quite clever in how it all goes together. Being Saturday and the release of the new Necron codex I’m off to pick it up. I’m thinking of starting a small Necron army to ally with my Blood Angels 🙂 You never know when those Tyranid’s might drop in. Anyone else picking up the new Necron codex?

Those muted tones look amazing man, how did you do it?
Im glad you added that "awkward OSL" Anom was talking about on your WIP post. You kinda did the same scheme as on your tyranids? Did you do that tutorial/step-by-step on that scheme yet? still hoping to get a glimpse of that.
I gotta say I love your color scheme. Makes it look sinister and evil, just like it should.
Wow that is one of the best Vermin Lords I've seen anywhere, I so much prefer the natural subuded tones.
The fragility of these big models is a problem – they look awesome but how to transport this to your games?
I suspect it is intended to foil the re-casters. At least with care plastic is less fragile than resin.

Could be. I think the re-casters would have a tough time duplicating these models. They would break very easy with the brittle resin they use.
Some of them are tough to transport. Let alone fit in a case with other models.
As always Third Eye, love your work!!!
Cheers Byron 🙂
