Having dropped project Deathstorm (just one unit short of completing the box set) I’ve set myself a deadline of one month to repaint units of my Tyranid Army so it’s a much more coherent force. Today I’m pleased to share three Tyranid Warriors. One has had the new Barbed Strangler added and all have been upgraded to 50mm bases. Next unit will be repainting my metal Zoanthropes. Watch this space.

Love the purple to black blend on the ranged weapons, and the nmm style bone colour on the blades.
Is that a new base edge colour, or just black?
Was looking at pictures of your warriors with bone blades in nmm style, in case you're wondering about above comment.
Base edge colour is Rhinox Hide.
Yeah the blending on the boneswords on my there warriors is an artistic touch. It's not very realistic because bone is dull and doesn't reflect light like that, but it's all about artistic licence and I think it's aesthetically pleasing.
Just picked up a box of the new Zoanthropes yesterday. As I have a pair of finecast ones and no venomthropes I've been pondering what to make them as, having looked at the sprue and since my bits box has 4 bodies (heads got used in BFG hive ships) from assorted old metal Zoanthropes im thinking that the falling over issue should be alot less if I use the plastic heads and torso to refurbish them and make up the rest of the box as the venomthropes.
The warriors are looking ace too.
