I’ve finished my Baal Predator by weathering the tank to give it a well used look. After the jump I have a lot more images of this tank and a link to a tutorial on how I weathered the tank.
I’m really pleased with the finished Baal. Maybe the silver paint chipping a little too much in some areas. I might go back over it and sponge on some red to cover up some of the silver. Here’s the link to the tutorial I used to weather the tank.
I’m really excited for Deathwatch Overkill. I can’t wait to add the Deathwatch to my Army of the Imperium Project.

I think you need to take a page from Thirdeyes weathering book.
I dont think weathering is your style anyway, always thought you and Stahly are the kings of clean.
I think though that the way Garfy has done the weathering is more in line with his style which is a much cleaner paint job as to what I do. I like the way it is, too much weathering I think would mess it up. Personally I like it and it's good to know when to stop so that it's not ott.

See for me personally I much prefer the lightly weathered look such as this as opposed to the clean look, just seems more real to me whereas the clean ones look more like toys.
Down to opinion that though of course and either way it's very accomplished painting as always 🙂
One thing I would suggest with the chipping though is to sponge on a darker ground such as Warplock bronze before the bright silver, just gives a bit of definition to the chips I find. Don't know how you feel about that but it works for me.
