I wanted to talk about airbrushing today. It’s been years since I posted a review/introduction to airbrushing on the blog and I thought I’d use my new youtube channel to revisit this idea and actually show and explain the equipment I use. you can play the video after the jump.
If you like my vlogs why not subscribe so you never have to miss an episode. It goes live usually a couple of days before it’s on Tale of Painters so by subscribing you you can see it before everyone else. Thanks for all the support and encouragement and suggestions so far. I’m looking forward to see where this journey takes me!

Hey garfy, really enjoyed that video as I am contemplating taking the plunge into airbrushing, have a load of large kits still in wrap as I want to airbrush them to do them justice(coven throne,Mortis engine, zombie dragon, screaming bell),also will you be delving back into the middle earth scene with tutorials now it is going to be supported going forward?
Great tutorial, nice to have my small airbrush attempts verified. Look forward to he next one.
Should have said this first but – great vid! Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Ive beed dabbling in airbrushing the past few years and similarly use clone brushes that have done everything I needed. I went the route of getting a combo set from amazon (compressor like yours + 3 clone brushes) for about £70. Great entry level.
I also have loved the vallejo primers but recently became a convert to the Badger Stynylrez primer (rebranded in uk as Ultimate primer for some reason). Goes on great, sandable, never orange peels, and doesn't seem to obscure detail even when I spray too much.
Cheers
FYI – having a screen shot with a youtube play icon on it is quite confusing
hah! got me too.
Ah ok M, that makes sense. I'll change it to something else in future. Thanks for the feedback.
