Heyhey, I’m working on a new Goff Orks project, and these here are the test figures for the colour scheme and general approach.
Haven’t painted any Orks for a while now (in fact I hadn’t painted any 40k models since early summer!), and it’s always great getting back to paint some GW minis. They’re just fun to paint. Sure, most of the time cluttered with unnecessary stuff, but overall always fun to work with.
The order was “Goff, black and red, checkerboard patterns, weathered and rusty”. So I went, did those test minis, they got green-lit (ha!) by the customer, and now I’m off to paint the next 53 of the boyz the same way.
Hope you like them! 🙂

@Heretek: Cheers. It's really just VMA Camo Light Green over black primer and white highlights, followed by light yellow highlihghts, a wash, and some more highlights. 🙂 The Red's just Some blood red, wash, battle damage.
@Stahly: Yeah, I got that before on these. Customer request. Gotta have red in there, because black and white ain't no colours, right?
These look great! I'm about to start my Waaagh! (re building/painting my army from my teenage years) and I wanted to go for a core of footsloggers but also want a bit of colour and to be able to field them at a later date as a kult of speed, so I really like the idea of having lots of red details (so dey go fasta). I'm gonna rip this off so hard 🙂
These are quite red… are you sure they aren't Evil Sunz? 😉
They look great! Would you mind sharing how you did their skin? It's got the darker look I want to get for my own Orks. Actually, since I'm starting Evil Sunz… could I ask how you did the red, as well? :p
