I’m in a weird place at the moment with my Conquest project. I’m actually keeping up with the releases really well, but I’m getting behind with the blogging side of things. To get things back on track I’m sharing the Redemptor Dreadnought today, which I finished a couple of weeks ago. More pics after the jump.
I think I’m adopting the Skull as a sort of command icon. I paint it on all my Lieutenants’ shoulder pads. I like to think inside this Redemptor is another Lieutenant piloting this huge mech.
Talking about painting icons, it’s a really nice way to ensure your icon fits the area perfectly. A tiny Dark Angel decal wouldn’t look the same here. Of course I could always size and print my own decals but it’s easier for me to just paint it at this point.
I now have two Redemptor Dreadnoughts. These are both Easy To Build ones. I’d like a third with a Plasma weapon at some point.
OK I have a Dark Angels Venerable Dreadnought but I can’t take this guy seriously anymore. He’s just too tiny with daft proportions.
Whilst I had the camera out I chucked one of my Imperial Knights next to the Redemptor. I like the scale of these two. It’s pretty cool.
Search ebay for Garfy’s Get a Grip (.co.uk link, .com link, .de link, .fr link, .ca link, .au link – if your Country isn’t shown here don’t worry, just search in your eBay. I post worldwide and dispatch same day.
No, the Redemptors are the grandkids who have grown much taller than their gramps.
The picture of the two Redemptors and Dreadnought is hilarious. Parents and child.
