We peer into the cavernous gullet of the Beastgrave Mountain today and view upon the bestial fury that is Grashrak’s Despoilers. Completed Warband and the completed boxed game pictures after the jump.

This is my second month of this series of Tale of Tuesdays and I’m pleased to share that I’ve finished the second half of my Warband on time! Check out my last postfor my paint recipes for these models.

Grashrak might be my favourite model in the whole of the Beastgrave boxed game. I love his braying pose. He’s chanting some guttural curse, whilst blood drips from his flint blade. He is covered in detail as well. It’s a total joy to paint picking out all the interesting little skulls, teeth and other decorations.

I’m really pleased with the finished warband. I can’t wait to use them in a game. I’m a big fan of fighty warbands (I play Ironskullz) so these should be a blast to play with.

ToP TIP: When deciding on a paint scheme for this warband, I looked at drawings and references of the Minotaur from Greek Mythology. Dark browns, blacks and burgundy seemed prevalent.

The completed herd; Grashrak’s Despoilers.

Painted before Tale of Tuesdays but included for completeness sake; Skaeth’s Hunters. Tutorials here

As promised, here are the completed war bands from the Beastgrave boxed game. It’s an awesome set and quite refreshing not to get a Stormcast Warband.

Check back next Tuesday to see SpaceShrimps‘s (hopefully completed) Godsworn Hunt. Don’t forget if you want to paint along with us, make sure you use the following hashtags on social media platforms (twitter, Instagram or facebook).

We’ll round up all your posts and share them at the end of each month. From all of your warbands that were painted during Tale of Tuesdays, we pick our favourite warband to win a Wayland Games or Element Games voucher for an Underworld warband box of your choice so you can start painting another warband right away.
