In this ToP Tip series, I’m sharing some of my recently developed favourite paint recipes. Today’s post is all about Sekhar, Fang of Nuhlamia. I’ll reveal how I painted her dark grey undead flesh and her serpentine familiar Ouboroth.

1. Dark grey Vampire flesh

I gave Sekhar dark grey skin as a contrast to her copper-coloured armour and light sashes. I used cool grey tones for this and added some life with a reddish glaze.

2. Snake scales and patterning

For the pattern on Sekhar’s familiar Ouboroth, I opted for petrol with a black pattern. I first blocked in the colours and then applied the petrol and black highlights.

3. Ouboroth’s belly and tongue

For the underbelly and face, I started with a base coat of WPF Runic Cobalt and added Daemonette Hide for the shading. For the highlights, I added more and more PA Ivory until I emphasised the most pronounced features on the face with pure Ivory.
