Started work on the top hull part of the Wave Serpent. Highlights are applied by hand, so the model will take some time to finish. Unlike my Falcon, I used proper masking tape from Tamiya this time. Nevertheless, applying the pattern to the cockpit area is a pain in the butt and it is not perfect yet.
Also I finally varnished the remaining Banshees today, I will take high quality pictures of the squad tomorrow so stay tuned!

Cheers, I use Pure Red spray from the Army Painter as a primer. Otherwise I use GW Blood Red thinned with VGC Red Ink instead of water. This is why: http://stahlyspaintstation.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-to-tackle-red-and-yellow-over-black_17.html
Wow your red is so.. reddish! Did you use inks again?
Cheers, I paint the canopies like I did with my Falcon: http://stahlyspaintstation.blogspot.com/2010/04/eldar-falcon.html
I saw this at Tale of Four Gamers in WD, I really like the look of it and it allows me to add a purple accent to the model. Plus working with clear plastic is bothersome.
This is looking quite nice however… and I like the highlighting you have done around all the grooves.
I notice that you left the clear plastic piece that covers the cockpit on when you painted this?
Did you accidently spray it black with the rest of the model or was this a consious decision?
