Is it just me or look my posts all the same lately? Yes, it’s another rank of Skaven Clanrats. For a change, I put my Dark Eldar test model in the picture, too. I’m still playing around with various colour choices and spot colours to get a nice, well-balanced paint job that works well on other troop types and vehicles. The paint scheme uses elements from the studio army with its dark, jade green tones, but the armour on my Dark Eldar will be a sponge weathered metallic black. I haven’t painted a black army yet and Rev’s great Space Wolves inspired me to try out the sponge weathering technique. What do you think?

I like the DE scheme, but I feel that it's too similar to your Skaven one!
What about a Turquoise for the colour accent instead of the green?
I also think that keeping metals to a minimum (at least off the bigger areas) would help to keep them looking more high-tech.
Thanks! I thought about turquoise, but then Garfy's beautiful Dark Eldar are also turquoise and I thought it might be a bit boring for our readers if both our Dark Eldar look too similar. Plus I really like the cool dark green the studio Dark Eldar army is painted with.
Ignore the P.s bit I didn't relise you added me already, thanks very much, it is greatly appreciated. Again hope to see more eldar and skaven. XD
The sponge technique does work well, it looks real for a figure paint job. I might try that for my Tau cause I am doing them as a traitor tau almost with a black and red colour scheme but I might add some of the good ness to show that they are not totally consumed by being rebels.
