I definitely see the resemblance to current military drones! This flyer has really grown on me, wasn't so sure when it was first released, but paintjobs such as this have swayed me – great work!
Outstanding!
i think your style is awesome and painting a model so crisply with restraint on the weathering is actually very difficult so keep doing what your doing bud. haters gonna hate.
Hey cheers Carlos
Got a couple of games in on the new codex. Haven't tried any of the new models, but I'm liking what they did with the old ones.
Nice looking models.
Forgeworld models generally get removed from the site when the moulds wear out… not a good sign.
They have said recently that when models get pulled, the more popular ones might get redone but sometimes it's just not remotely profitable to re-master them (they listed some Battlefleet Gothic stuff as an example of minis that don't sell anymore so can't be re-cast).
Tyranids were what, IA4? Maybe they will be redoing the book and updating some moulds by the time the Tyranid codex rolls around.
Yeah, I actually to FW today. The reason they ditched a lot of the Tyranid models was due to GW releasing the Swarmlord and Hive Tyrant kit. They said due to the cost of the GW model, it put a lot of people off from buying the FW versions. Which I think kinda sucks.
The fact remains these are the best painted Tau models I've seen to date, including those IN the Tau codex.
Hey cheers Mr Saturday 🙂
Nice, but on the other hand kinda boring. Because all your models look the same, no matter if WHFB or 40k. You use the same colours and technique all the time.
Isn't it time for something new / a different style?
Look at Stahly's miniatures for an inspiration and what can be achieved with bright and different colours!
I remembered I have to be polite:) Ah basically Anonymous I'm really not in any rush to try and change my style or start using bright colours like you suggested any time soon. But thanks for suggesting that I do that. Maybe you want to choose my clothes for me too 🙂
I love the different styles on Tale of Painters. If we all painted like Stahly, the blog would lack variety. I love the fact that everyone brings something different to the painting table.
Garfy you are to polite 🙂
Awesome painting. Is Anonymous actually Stahly? I wonder 🙂
Hey big thanks all. Glad you like.
This looks great
wow, very nice work!
Coloured Dust
Just a beautiful job, the colour palette is fantastic. Airbrush and sponge?
Yeah pretty much. Thanks for the thumbs up.
