Here is some progress on my Fire Dragons. The orange of the armour is so bright that the camera has problems to get the colours right. In real life, the orange is less reddish. I’ve basecoated the armour with old Fiery Orange, washed the recesses with Fuegan Orange, then added a first highlight with a mix of Fiery Orange and Lugganath Orange and a second highlight with pure Lugganath Orange. Lugganath Orange is an Edge paint and only available online, but you can just keep adding white to Fiery Orange if you don’t have it.
I’m very happy with the orange, it provides a nice contrast to the deep turquoise ribbons. I’ll don’t paint the helmets yellow as I think this has been done to death, I’ll add some brass details however. How do you like them so far?

Hey Stahly, How did you get that awesome gray colour on the guns?
Hi Delano, it's a basecoat of Rakarth Flesh, shaded with Dryad Bark, highlighted with Reaper Master Series Polished Bone (you could also mix Rakarth Flesh with white) and then pure white.
Going to go try this. I loved this colour scheme of yours so much I'm basing my elder army off of the use of Rakarth as the base and the orange as a pop colour.
They look great!!! Are you going to use decals once they are done? Do you mind showing the process? How many dragons do you have for the army now?
Thanks
Matt
Hey Matt, they'll get a Fire Dragon rune decal on the helmet. Here is a tutorial of how I work with decals: http://taleofpainters.blogspot.de/2011/12/tutorial-painted-on-looking-decals.html And there'll be six Fire Dragons in total.
I miss depth of colour. There is not enough "fire" in those dragons for my taste.
Great contrast with orange / turquoise though 🙂
