I painted the Lizardmen Carnosaur along with a Troglodon. For me they are my favorite two models from the new Lizardmen release. Being a 40K player and not being to informed about Lizardmen I initially made the mistake of painting the rider in a white colour scheme and then read that they should be a bluish colour. This was a bit of a nightmare as I had to completely repaint the rider to match the fluff. The model itself was fairly easy to put together, even though it does have some quite large mold lines and fill in gaps which need attending too. Other than that the Carnosaur was a lot of fun to paint. Its nice to paint something that’s organic for change after all the past Tau, Eldar and Apocalypse model releases. What do you guys think?

The GW guys and others use a blue gradient which seems to work.
Cant hurt giving it a go.
Excellent models. I agree with you.. my fav from the new line of Lizardmen models.
Definitely would've started collecting them as well if it wasn't for all the Tau minis I have to paint still.
Cracking job mate.
Bill
Did you edit in a white background? Having a different colored background would help give a better sense of depth.
Hi,what colour would you suggest?. Normally I use white backdrops. I've tried black but was never keen on it.
Ka Pai TEN it's stunning. I have to say its easily in your top three this year I reckon something about it lots of little touches like the blue in the shield.
Hey thanks Minitrol :)I really did enjoy painting him up a lot.
That's awesome!That’s pretty cool.
Bloody awesome. Is that airbrushed?
Thanks all for the thumbs ups :)I really did enjoy painting him. James, I airbrushed quite a fair bit of it.
Wonderfull job. At least the carnosaur looks like a lizard and not a clown ^^
Love the paint job! They're my favourite lizardmen minis as well! I considered picking one up just to paint for fun, but with C:SM supposedly just around the corner, I'll need the money!!
People are going to go crazy when that codex hits the shelves. Looking forward to it 🙂
Actually you would have been fine with a white rider, Albino Saurus are the strongest of their kind, very apt for one who has tamed a Carnosaur!
Great paint job, your style really suits the Carnosaurs nature.
Hey thanks RichV37, to bad I had to change him. I need to read up on the fluff. It would have saved me a couple of hours had I known.
Very nice looking carno, it really fits your style! I painted my own this week and I see that we both went for a simillar color scheme: http://www.coolminiornot.com/338691?browseid=6354834
Also nice to see some fantasy on this blog for a change.
