Remember the last post, where I raised the question whether I should leave the “heads” of the Wraithguard black or paint them white, and everyone who commented voted for black? Well I painted them white anyways, lol. I discussed the matter with Garfy and we both agreed that black looked cool, but that white would be more consistent with my other Iybraesil models which have white helmets, too. Sorry guys, hope you don’t mind it too much 😉 Above you can see the finished first batch along with the second batch, which is obviously very much WIP at the moment. Do you like the Wraithguard with white helmets, too?
Stahly
The mysterious masked Stahly is the founder and mastermind of Tale of Painters. Hailing from Craftworld Germany, he has been walking the Path of the Warhammer Collector since childhood. Over the decades, he has painted multiple armies and countless warbands and miniatures. When he's not painting miniatures or working on his library of hand-painted colour swatches, he's testing the latest paints, tools and model kits with German precision and a no non-sense attitude.

Nice contrasts. And beginning to realize that the figures to paint are only half the outlay – behind them, these bottles must cost another fortune too.
White is nice! Is that transfers or hand done on the helmets?
Hey, they are transfers, treated with several coats of Microset.
I can't help it, all I see are wraithguards with Beagle Boys-masks!! 🙂
After having discussed it with you mate, I couldn't help but agree that white helms would be the best option for the overall army.
These are awesome. I love the white helmets with the black runes.
Your work is incredibly inspiring mate, keep it up!
These look great! I much prefer the white but was scared to say before as everyone else said black… The black Rune ties it in nicely.
Lol I didnt want to be theonly one to say white also.
Im doing mine very similar except I think I'll probably make it an off white (possibly the same as your weapon colour)
