It’s Khorne day today, so this Forgefiend I just painted comes around!
Despite the cries about the look of the model at release I liked it right from the get-go. This is the second one I painted and it’s just a nice, straightforward model which always looks really nice in pictures.
The Khornate colour scheme of course is a classic and rarely looks bad on anything.
Another thing I find endearing about the model is that looking at it from the front it looks like a very angry chicken (and angry chickens are the worst!).
Right, that’s enough of that. Hope you like the Forgefiend and I shall see you mucho soono.

Lots of detail, great looking miniature!

Great model Garfy, hate to add to the "how did you paint….." But how did you get that gold effect?
Lol it's not my model.
Garfy may be the 'face' of the site, but he's not the only painter on here. :p
There certainly are worse things than being mistaken for Garfy of course. 😀
I think the simple tweak of the head gives the model some much-needed character. Looking good!
would be great to see tutorial (base including – what colors did you use for base?)
Beautiful. I tend to like a lot of the models that everyone else complains about. I like this guy, angry chicken and all.
How did you paint the red?
Fantastic rendition Sigur. Can I ask for your skin recipe? I opted for a red demon look on my Maulerfiend to begin with and am not very happy and would like to go more your way.
Thanks!
I've recently painted a Forgefiend as well, and while the experience wasn't much fun, I'll agree with you that they look great when finished, mostly making you forget about the ordeal that came before 😉
Excellent piece! I love the rich red you have managed to achieve, and the brass is also looking lovely — they do look kinda awkward from the front, though, don't they?
Keep up the amazing work!
