Hey all, I have been a little quiet on the posting front the last few weeks as I have been incredibly busy with commission work. But as of writing this I have caught up on everything and will have quite a lot to show in the coming weeks. Today I thought I’d start with some Pre-Heresy Dark Angels.
The models are Forge World MKIII tactical marines with Autocannons. As with all Forge World models I love these sculpts. I think they really have a menacing vibe to them. I left the shoulder transfers off as the client wanted to do them himself. One thing I did notice though on assembly is that the Autocannons are quite tricky to attach to the marines. They needed to be bent slightly with hot water to fit into place. What do you think? And more importantly hows that new Space Marine Codex?

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
I'm so curious to see the FW Heresy era DA that you can't imagine!
The new codex? I was waiting more fluff and descriptions for the personal chapter selected on the limited editions books, but after all its nice cause it explain clearly many colour schemes for companies, markings ecc ecc even the successors and little knows chapters. Not bad…i'm positive.
Hey, cheers guys, I'm also looking for the new Dark Angels rules. Hopefully they will get what they deserve.
Very nice! I've resisted the urge (so far) to buy any models for HH until the Dark Angels get their rules/characters/models but it's becoming harder and harder.
They look awesome. Tom
This is your best project ever – that's not just my extreme bias towards the first legion talking 😉
Makes me happy to see something that I don't see everyday – pre heresy Dark Angels painted to such a high standard! Great job on them. Have you painted the lenses on them? (Or the eyes)
