Hi guys! I’ve painted another model for my Hobbit collection, this time it’s one of my Christmas presents, Beorn in Bear form.
This model was really easy to paint, and really fun! In fact, I think it probably took longer to prepare the model than it did paint! The model painted by Games Workshop is really dark, but I wanted mine to have a bit of detail in it. I sprayed the model white, then sprayed it Rhinox Hide. I then drybrushed Gorthor Brown, Steel Legion Drab and Karak Stone on the highest parts, I then washed it Agrax Earthshade. At this point I thought it was too brown and not quite dark enough, so I washed it all Nuln Oil. I then finished it off with a light drybrush of Karak Stone.
I’m looking forward to adding Beorn in Human form next to the collection!

thanks for posting. but it looks like a metal statue than a live bear. Over saturated with heavy dry brush perhaps.
There's a painting tutorial you can check out if you want to analyse it further.
Really enjoying your Hobbit posts, Garfy's Hobbit guides were how I first discovered TOP, so it's awesome seeing more of it again.
