Update on my Primaris Librarian in Phobos Armour painted as a Commander for my Silver Skulls Kill Team. For those who remember my last post, I wasn’t sure about the bright bone robes so I changed the camo cloak to a dark grey camouflage pattern like on the studio version. I think it was the right choice, as it makes the blue metallic armour really pop and fits the sombre appearance of my Silver Skulls models. I wanted a similar abstract pattern like on the studio version, with colours matching my Sector Mechanicus terrain. I just started blocking in some shapes until I achieved an aesthetically pleasing distribution. Painting camouflage on miniatures is always challenging. You want a convincing yet eye-pleasing effect that doesn’t break up shapes like real camouflage. What do you think?

Sweet model. Great work! The camouflage came out fantastic.
Awesome painting and camo pattern, but for a Silver Skull member i would paint the little skull…. silver ^^
Spot on with the camouflage! Importantly it matches the colours used on the basing material, a fact often lost on the GW studio showcases.
