If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen that I’m working my way through the Space Hulk terrain from Kill Team: Into the Dark. In this post, I’ll be sharing my initial results and providing a complete list of the paints and techniques used.

I’ve already painted a set of Gallowdark corridors in a light, rusty colour scheme (you can find the tutorial here). If you want to learn more about the Space Hulk terrain system, I recommend checking out my Kill Team: Into the Dark review, where you’ll also find detailed dimensions. For my second set, I’ve devised a scheme that complements the red-lit game board featured in Kill Team: Soulshackle and Kill Team: Gallowfall (review here).

As always when painting terrain, I focus more on the overall effect, using techniques like zenithal highlights and dry brushing. To save time, I only paint a minimum of details, as terrain should primarily serve as a backdrop and set the stage for the models. Below you’ll find all my paint recipes in a concise painting guide.
