Here they are: proper shots of my Hell Pit Abomination. Enjoy! I guess most of you guys watched the creation of this model in the last couple of weeks. So click “more after the jump” and have a closer look at this huge piece of Skaven madness.
As I’ve mentioned several times before, I often have a hard time painting big models. The bigger the model, the more difficult it becomes to rest my hands while painting which results in less brush control and less accurate highlights. Thus I’m not 100% satisfied with the quality of the paintjob, but yeah, it took long enough and I’m glad I’ve now finished all the big models of my Skaven army.
Despite my criticism, how do you like it? I’d love to read your comments!

I will just say, Jezus, this is just… prfect, damn.
It is a hugely complex model and I think you've done a fantastic job capturing all that detail without making the model feel "cluttered" or "busy." The warpstone effect is particularly neat.
Thanks guys!
@ Tim, actually I can't see where the wash turned blue. However I experienced something similar before but with Asurmen Blue, it turned greyish when there was too much excess wash pooling. Probably you should give the washes a good shake every now and then and don't overdo it.
i love it! must b hard to paint it so clean!!
Wow. This model is really good. You're too hard on yourself!
One thing…GW washes can actually leaves some blue pooling in the crevices…have you noticed this? I can see it in the armor cracks. Why is that? I get it sometimes too.
So there's the whole beast now. Very nice work again. That's a pretty striking colour scheme and once again very, very clean painting. Cool. 🙂
I have to disagree Stahly. I think the paint job on this guy is equal to if not better than your Skaven infantry models. Well done again on finally finishing him!
