I did a lot of priming and varnishing today. I also painted the lower hull, which is my favourite part of the model to paint because for the sake of my own sanity I just drybrush it.

I know what that's like.
That red looks really vivid. Is that an Army Painter primer?
Yes, it's Army Painter Pure Red primer. However I give it a thin coat of Blood Red as well, first to unify the colours, second to prevent "frosting" issues I had with spray varnish directly over bare Pure Red.
